LiveSlips has registered, or is in the process of registering, a Designated Agent with the United States Copyright Office in accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2). Senders of DMCA notices may verify current agent information via the Copyright Office's online directory.
Filing a DMCA Notice
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your written notice must include substantially all of the following elements:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works at a single site are covered by a single notice, a representative list of such works);
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (e.g. the specific URL on liveslips.xyz);
- Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner; and
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Notices may be sent by email to dmca@liveslips.xyz. We endeavor to act on valid notices within a commercially reasonable time, typically within 48 hours of receipt.
Counter-Notification
If you believe that content you uploaded was removed or disabled in error, you may file a counter-notification with our Designated Agent. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), your counter-notification must include:
- Identification of the material that has been removed and the location at which it appeared before removal;
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, that you consent to jurisdiction in any judicial district in which LiveSlips may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant or its agent; and
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i)(1)(A), LiveSlips has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We may also terminate accounts in connection with a single particularly egregious infringement at our discretion.
Misrepresentation Warning
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages including costs and attorneys' fees. Do not file a DMCA notice unless you have a good-faith belief that your copyright has been infringed.
Non-Copyright Removal Requests
If your request is not based on copyright (for example, if you are the subject of a non-consensual recording, or if you wish to revoke previously-given consent), please use our Content Removal page instead. Non-copyright removal requests are typically processed faster than DMCA notices because they require fewer formalities.
